Weekly Wrap Up 7/11

sunday post stacking the shelves

I like having a Weekly Wrap Up on my blog to see what I’ve accomplished in the world of reading and reviewing. I am linking up to a couple of memes that do the same. The Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba @  Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news about our lives, recap the past week, showcase books we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. Stacking the Shelves is held at Tynga’s Reviews and is a place to share the books that have arrived in the last week.

AROUND THE BLOGOSPHERE
  • Lillybloombooks really opened my eyes to the laws we need to follow when hosting giveaways. Her post: Giveaways – Are They Legal? lays it all out, and I  was only aware of a couple of these things.
  • Book Riot did a re-post of Cool Maps of Bookish Places.I love it when a book has a map, family tree or diagrams that help me understand the story.
  • The Reading Room posted a quiz to figure out Which Fictional Home is for You? I got Toad Hall from The Wind in the Willows.

  1. I think these books may all be new to me- I feel like I maybe have heard of The Other Daughter? Not sure. But anyway, I do hope you enjoy all the new ones! Oh- and I am right there with you on the maps 🙂 Off to take the quiz now too! Hope you have a fabulous week!

  2. Nice mix of books … I love SAA’s writing, did you enjoy First Frost? I have the Poldark series to binge watch at some stage, at the moment I’m bingeing on Hannibal lol
Have a great week and happy reading 🙂

  3. To me that looks like a book a day in the last week! I too read the post on Giveaways, very interesting and I bookmarked it on my computer to go back and study a little more. Not too much to worry about but still something to take note of I think.
I think The Seven Sisters should be good, I have this one earmarked to listen to at some point.

  4. Happy Sunday! Hope you’re having a great weekend. I’ve heard both The Guest cottage and First Frost were good… and enjoyed your TV post. I don’t watch a lot, but do get sucked into Netflix from time to time! 🙂

  5. I read your Fave TV shows piece but you mentioning here that they’re very different to your reading choices made me think. I watch a lot of mysteries, fictional crime type shows (Criminal MInds etc) but I also enjoy Sci Fi. Whereas when it comes to reading I hate fantasy / sci fi etc…

  6. I just got The Peach Keeper from the library and I’m really looking forward to reading it. I’ve never read any of her books before. The Other Daughter is coming up for me in the next couple of weeks and I’m very much looking forward to it. Fantastic books and have a great week!
