Blues of Love

Smiling Sally is hosting Blue Monday; click on over and see what everyone is sharing this week! I know it’s a little early, but I thought I’d share some vintage Valentine card images in case people wanted to use them in their own crafting. All of these images have some blue in them, so you won’t get too repetitive with the reds and pinks on your Valentines! The love we give away is the only love we keep. ~ Elbert HubbardLove does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking together in the same direction. ~ Antoine de Saint-ExuperyI hold it true, whate’er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; ‘Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. ~ Alfred, Lord TennysonI am like a falling star who has finally found her place next to another in a lovely constellation, where we will sparkle in the heavens forever. ~ Amy TanAll love that has not friendship for its base, is like a mansion built upon the sand. ~ Ella Wheeler Wilcox

  1. Hi Elizabeth
    Happy Blue Monday
I used to have Valentine’s like those in grade school. They used to come on sheets and we would have to punch them out one by one.
    I loved them and yours.

  4. I wanted to explain a little about the makeover…first it was my idea, as this was a friend, she has a lazy azz husband and was working 6 `12 hr shifts a week with no help….the house although sold isn’t actually closing until March, it was a rent to own couple she said she would take care of me at that time although I really did it to see if I could, and after that fiasco I know I am capable of anything (lol) French;)

  5. I took the weekend off and somehow you had four posts to read. I will not do that again. Did my E blog, and thank you.
I read all four posts but am only posting back here because everyone may be a really great blogger like you. I am trying to read more and will come back for recommendations as I pare down the pile. The Valentines are so cute.
