Bloggiesta Fall 2015

Posted September 8, 2015 by Elizabeth in blogging, events/festivals/ 12 Comments

The Fall Bloggiesta starts next Thursday, September 17! I have a lot of things I want to get taken care of during these three days, but at least half the time I will be away with family. I will attempt to blog in the car, but teenagers yelling about the music selections and sharing food is not conducive to getting much work done. Why can’t they all just remember their headphones? I feel like it’s 1984 and we are touring Nova Scotia in a Subaru with my parents. Ah, but I love them and don’t get t.o see them much now that they’re off at college.Bloggiesta-F15

I am excited and also really nervous to be hosting a mini-challenge. It is about finding images online and how to give proper credit. I don’t want to give incorrect information, so I did a lot of research both online and speaking with several librarians. I hope people will find it useful and those who have been reluctant to use images will consider it in the future. Personally I don’t like reading a post that is all text with no breaks. There is going to be a giveaway prize for those who complete the challenge.

@Bloggiesta Sept 17-20 is a fabulous way to get organized, clean up the blog, and learn something new. Click To Tweet

Cleaning Up the Evil Overlord

With chaos of the family visit and my nervousness I’ve decided to do touch-ups instead of big changes like I did last time when I made my big Blogspot to Word Press switch.

  1. Good luck with your goals! Maybe you should just bring earplugs for yourself on the car journey 😀 And I’m looking forward to your challenge, like you I don’t like all text in a post either and finding images can be tricky. So I can’t wait to hear your tips on how to do it correctly.

  2. Elizabeth all the best with bloggiesta and your mini challenge. I will take a peek when I get back from Australia.
The hardest thing to teach students was about images, I used to bang my head against a wall, just when I thought they had gotten it, they’d offend.
